About Me

Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm a mom to two beautiful boys who keep me on my toes, and wife to an amazing husband. I grew up just outside of Silverton, Oregon,  but currently live in Keizer. I attended Oregon State University where I got my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and a Master’s in Mathematics Education. I taught 7th grade math for three years before I decided to stay home with my oldest son.

I have always loved baking. I started making cakes and cupcakes in high school after discovering all of the baking competition shows. I enjoyed watching how creative all of the bakers were and I thought I could give it a try too! I made cakes for several different celebrations, but recently decided that I liked working with cookies even more. The first set of cookies I made were for my oldest son’s first birthday party, and I fell in love with the whole process! From making the dough to packaging the final product, making these cookies combines my love of math and art, giving me a much needed creative outlet while at home.

I am very much a perfectionist and always need to have a plan before I start creating, so I can guarantee that your cookies will be carefully thought out and held to a high standard. In the future, I would like to put my background in education to good use by hosting cookie decorating classes for people of all ages!
